| This year the National Piping Centre is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its offical opening, and is holding a composing competition for the occassion. The tune type is to be a four parted 6/8 march for the great highland bagpipe. Multiple entries should be sent separately, one entry per envelope. The submitted manuscript should have no other information marked on it and should be accompanied by a letter from the composer on a separate page, and a stamped address envelope so that receipt of the entry can be acknowledged. Alternatively entries can be accompanied by an email address to which a confirmation of receipt can be sent. Entries will be judged by a committe of the National Piping Centre teachers chaired by the Centre’s Principal, Roddy MacLeod MBE. Entries are open now. |
